Last June, SAP announced the $1.5 billion acquisition of WalkMe, described as a « leader in the field of Digital Adoption Platforms (DAP). »
WalkMe offers a solution designed to maximize user adoption of digital applications by continuously identifying gaps and other problem areas. The no-code platform ensures user success without requiring any modifications to the underlying software.
At the USF convention last October, we had the opportunity to engage with the WalkMe France team and attend demonstrations of the solution, which indeed seems highly effective.
WalkMe covers some of the functionalities offered by SAP Enable Now. The question now is how SAP will structure its portfolio of onboarding, training, and adoption solutions and its licensing model.
It seems logical that SAP would retain Enable Now for its instructional content creation capabilities while promoting WalkMe for user interaction.
WalkMe is expected to join SAP’s solution catalog in the first half of 2025. In the meantime, to move forward (training, demonstrations, prototypes, and potentially sales) without waiting for this date, Applium has just signed a distribution agreement with WalkMe France. Clément Belliot has already started training on the solution and « experimenting » with it.
With WalkMe, the integration of AI becomes a tangible part of daily operations.
The merger of the two solutions and the resulting migration are scheduled for 2026/2027.
